HAGL donates VND 1 billion to support Gia Lai residents affected by the Typhoon No. 13.
Typhoon Kalmaegi (No. 13) has recently caused severe flooding, landslides, and widespread infrastructure damage across Gia Lai Province. Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Gia Lai, on the afternoon of November 19, 2025, at the Committee’s headquarters, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang – General Director of HAGL – presented a donation of VND 1 billion to help flood-affected communities recover their lives after the typhoon. Representing the Gia Lai VFF Committee was Ms. Tran Thi Hao – Deputy Chief of Office.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang expressed his deep sympathy for the difficulties and losses that local residents are enduring as a result of the natural disaster. He emphasized: “As a company founded and developed in Gia Lai, HAGL has always understood and has been ready to accompany the local authorities and the people during the most challenging times. We hope that this modest contribution will help ease the pain, support communities affected by the typhoon, and enable them to stabilize their lives and overcome this difficult period”.
Receiving HAGL’s support, Ms. Tran Thi Hao expressed her sincere gratitude to the HAGL’s Leaders and all employees. She highly appreciated the company’s noble gesture and sense of social responsibility and affirmed that the Gia Lai VFF Committee would ensure the donation is used effectively, allocated to the right beneficiaries, and delivered promptly to families in urgent need of assistance.
It is reported that Typhoon No. 13 recently caused severe damage in the locality. According to statistics, a total of 50,217 houses across the province were damaged by the storm, including around 1,000 completely destroyed, 10,286 heavily damaged, and 40,247 partially affected. The total estimated loss amounts to nearly VND 6,000 billion.
