Signing Ceremony of The Cooperation Agreement between Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute (WASI) and Hagl Group
On the morning of August 1, 2025, Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with HAGL Group at the Institute’s headquarters. The collaboration covers multiple areas in agriculture, with an initial focus on providing technical guidance on cultivation, care, pest and disease management, flowering and fruit-setting processes for the Group’s Arabica coffee and macadamia plantations in Gia Lai Province and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

Attending on behalf of the Institute were Mr. Phan Viet Ha - Deputy Director in charge of the Institute, Mr. Dao Huu Hien - Deputy Director and Deputy Head of Science planning and international cooperation, along with Heads and Deputy Heads of the Institute’s departments.
Representing HAGL Group at the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang – General Director, Ms. Vo Thi My Hanh – Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director, along with Heads and Deputy Heads of the Group’s departments.

Through this partnership, HAGL Group expressed its desire for the Western Highlands Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute to provide technical support in the cultivation, care, and pest management of Arabica coffee and in cultivation techniques, flowering and fruit-setting, and pest management for the Group’s macadamia trees. The Institute will also carry out field surveys and propose solutions suited to the actual conditions of the projects. This cooperation aims to strengthen and further develop the Group’s agricultural operations.

The Institute discussed and outlined directions for cooperation on several upcoming activities, including coffee variety trials and the application of advanced cultivation techniques for this key crop with high economic value in the Central Highlands region.

The cooperation will begin in late 2025 and continue in the coming years. These tasks will serve as a foundation for further research and technology transfer in agriculture, contributing to the development of HAGL Group and the advancement of Vietnam’s agricultural sector.
